Founded 2011 We are a News Media Organization. Our purpose is to foster accountability, truth, and transparency in our local governing bodies.
ECWd is a 501(c)(4) Media Organization – contributions to the organization are not deductible for federal income tax purposes as charitable contributions.
FUNDING: Our funding comes primarily from small individual donations.
ETHICS: All of our stories are fact checked using public documents, government records, and interviews. We use multiple sources whenever possible. Sources and documents will be linked within the story and anonymous sources are rarely, if ever, used.
ERRORS / CORRECTIONS:
If we make mistakes, correcting them promptly is vital to the credibility of our organization.
When an error is discovered or reported – whether it is detected by a member of the public or otherwise – it will be immediately researched and, if need be, corrected as soon as possible, which may including providing additional supporting information.
