Former Dolson Township Clerk Charged With Class X & 3 Felonies –

Clark Co., Ill. (ECWd) –

Today, information charging former Dolson Township Clerk, Kimberly Grable, with the following was filed at the Clark County Courthouse by the State’s Attorney:

• Class X Felony, Obtain Unauthorized Control of Governmental Property valued in excess of $100,000
• Class 3 Felony, Official Misconduct – Theft of Governmental Property valued in excess of $100,000

From the Information:

In the name and by the authority of the People of the State of Illinois, the State’s Attorney of Clark County, Illinois, hereinafter called the complainant, on oath charges that on or between April 1, 2025, and August 21, 2025, in Clark County, Illinois, Kimberly Grable, hereinafter called the defendant, committed the offense of:

THEFT OF GOVERNMENTAL PROPERTY
in violation of 720 ILCS 5/16-1(a)(1) and (b)(6.1), in that said defendant, in furtherance of a single intention and design, through a series of acts, knowingly obtained unauthorized control over governmental property of Dolson Township, Clark County, Illinois said property being United States currency, having a total value in excess of one-hundred thousand dollars ($100,000), with the intent to permanently deprive Dolson Township of the use or benefit of the property. (CLASS X FELONY)

OFFICIAL MISCONDUCT
in violation of 720 ILCS 5/33-3(a)(2), in that said defendant, a public officer or employee, Dolson Township Clerk, while acting in her official capacity, knowingly performed an act which she knew that she was forbidden by law to perform, in that she committed THEFT OF GOVERNMENTAL PROPERTY in violation of Section 16-1 of Act 5 of Chapter 720 of the Illinois Compiled Statutes, by taking United States currency from Dolson Township. (CLASS 3 FELONY).
