Thornton Township, Ill. (ECWd) –
Two tax referenda initiated by Thornton Township Supervisor Tiffany Henyard failed at the ballot box yesterday.
- Henyard, for the second time, wanted the voters to approve a tax for Township Mental Health.
- Henyard also wanted the taxpayers to approve the township to charge residents $2.00 for soup and salad.
Mental Health lost with 61.76% voting “NO”
Soup and Salad lost with 80.39% voting “NO”
These ballot failures are an indication of her failure at everything resembling leadership and fiscal responsibility.
There was a third referendum asking voters if they wanted a second township food bank opened up, it did pass.
