Illinois (ECWd) –
Effective January 1, 2022, there are changes to the Court’s (pretrial) electronic home monitoring program (read about the Pretrial Fairness Act).
Some changes include:
- guaranteed movement at least 2 days per week to take care of themselves and loved ones
- mandatory hearing every 60 days to determine whether to set less restrictive conditions
- home monitoring is a credit towards any future sentence of incarceration
- revised escape policy – must be in violations for at least 48 hours before being charged with felony escape
