Illinois Supreme Court issues ruling in David Cooke complaint involving campaign expenditures of now Illinois Auditor General Frank Mautino

Illinois  (ECWd) –

The Illinois Supreme Court has issued their order in the DAVID W. COOKE, Appellee, v. THE ILLINOIS STATE BOARD OF ELECTIONS et al. (Committee for Frank J. Mautino, Appellant).

Board decision affirmed in part and reversed in part, Cause remanded with directions.

We will update with a more detailed analysis of the ruling upon further review. Of interest is the fact two of the Supreme Court Justices, Neville and Carter, took no part in the consideration or decision of this case.
