Also, see Migratory Bird Treaty Act of 1918.

The only “good news” in that old news is that a poacher was caught. Misandry is the dislike of, contempt for, or ingrained prejudice against men. The capital “M” in CYNTHIA S.’s comment appears to validate my previous comment. In other words here, CYNTHIA S has apparent ingrained prejudice against men who hunt. So much for the study of anthropology and the rise of hunter gatherer cultures.

Willful ignorance ain’t no lazy day on the river.

As for the original post, siting maps sponsored by Cornell.edu suggest that the siting of the Bald Eagle near Paris, Illinois was/is somewhat rare of late, anyway. Late as in decades. Now let’s just suppose the carrion its eating there in the video was another animal accidently struck dead by a he or she motorist and leave it at that.

Because you are uneducated on the subject of Bald Eagles and clearly do not have research skills to check “BEFORE” you utter in foolish comments. A simple google search will give you the following: “However, the bald eagle was not always so beloved. Hunters killed the bird, incorrectly believing the bald eagle hunted livestock, game animals and children. They also hunted the bird for sport. Other environmental factors contributed to a dwindling population. Today, conservation efforts have been successful and the bird is no danger of extinction.”. Yeah, the uneducated worry me the most out of any population or group.

I am amazed at how stupid Cynthia is in that post. “Hunters” would never think of killing a raptor. Who would try to eat any raptor? What a fruitcake!

Cynthia is an idiot. No one EVER has hunted any Bald Eagles. This kind of person does a lot of damage while they are patting themself on the back for things that never happened. Shows how utterly out of touch with reality this person really is.

Thank goodness Men have not killed them all. Yes, we tree huggers, anti-hunters brought them back.

Anti hunters brought them back? They are a protected bird and in all my years of hunting have NEVER met a single hunter that would even dream of hurting our Nations Bird.

Reasonable people credit the majestic bird’s comeback to the ban of DDT some 50 years ago.

I’ve been hearing a lot this week about the presence of Bald Eagles and White Pelicans. Nice to know they are doing well and apparently propagating.
