Former AAU Coach charged with 42 Felony Counts of sexual abuse files Motion to Change Venue –

CHARLESTON, IL. (ECWd) –

During today’s scheduled Hearing, Barry Wolfe, the former AAU Girls Basketball Coach from Martinsville, Il. appeared in custody and filed several Motions, one of them to Change Venue (move the trial to different court), a Motion to Suppress Statements, and a Motion in Limine.

The Court granted a continuance in order to review the Motions “in camera” due to the Motion to Change Venue.

The June 19, 2018 Jury Trial was vacated, and a Hearing on Pending Motions was scheduled for June 19 at 1:00 p.m., with a Jury Trial set for July 17, 2018 at 9:00 a.m.

Wolfe is still in custody of the Coles County Sheriff on a $2,000,000 Bond, and has been charged with 42 Counts: 30 Class 2 Felonies and 12 Class 1 Felonies.
