SHELBYVILLE, IL. (ECWd) –
The newly appointed electoral board in Shelbyville Township met this afternoon to deliberate on the objections filed against a candidate running for Township Highway Superintendent (Road Commissioner).
After being apprised of the law in relation to how objections are filed and the information that must be included in the objection, the Board granted Corey Wells’ Motion To Strike the Objection(s) because the objections did not comply with the Election Code.
Wells’ name will be on the April ballot, as will the remainder of the slate of candidates filed by the republican caucus.
