Livingston Co., Ill. (ECWd) –
The Livingston/Ford/Iroquois County Rural Transit Committee Meeting was held last night to discuss the announced ceasing of operations and dissolution of the CRIS Rural Mass Transit District.
The Board disallowed Zoom recording of this meeting (even though anyone had the statutory right to record) – so I use our camera to record the screen – which is why the video is low quality.
During the meeting, a representative from the Illinois Department of Transportation was present and to the board that CRIS has not dissolved, all options remain on the table, and that any dissolution will take at least one to two years to be properly completed. We note that the press release published by CRIS specifically stated they were announcing their dissolution, albeit improperly.
