The former and disgraced Mayor Tiffany Henyard’s appointees to village manager and acting police chief are scheduled for a change-of-plea hearing later this month on their federal bankruptcy fraud indictments.
Henyard’s village manager, Keith Freeman, has a hearing scheduled for November 19, 2025, at 10:30 am. He was charged with bankruptcy fraud for misrepresenting his income (here and here).
Henyard’s acting police chief, Lewis Lacey, has a hearing scheduled for November 21, 2025, at 10:00 am. He was charged with bankruptcy fraud for concealing bank accounts and settlements in other case(s) (here, here, and here).
Henyard is still under federal investigations for her actions while serving her one term as Mayor and her partial term as appointed Thornton Township Supervisor.
