Vermilion Co., Ill. (ECWd) –
Mike Marron, President/CEO of Vermilion Advantage, has submitted his resignation at a time when the Vermilion County State’s Attorney published a press release indicating there were allegations of bribery and other misconduct against employees of Vermilion Advantage, Vermilion County Elected Officials, and the Vermilion County Board.
Marron cites various personal reasons and also cites “concerns” with the property Trustee program they currently run on behalf of the county.
Copies of the resignation letter can be read on the “Vermilion County Watchdog” Facebook page (here and here).
His resignation is effective no later than April 1, 2026.
Marron is a former state representative who voted in favor of permitting non-citizens to be police officers and have arrest powers over citizens, among other things.
