Le Roy, Ill. (ECWd) –
The “health emergency” that brought on masking and other things is long gone, except for Le Roy, Illinois.
Le Roy is a small city with a population of around 3,500 people and is located in McLean County.
On their meeting agenda is this statement:
“Masks required if symptomatic or unvaccinated.”
It was questionable during the health emergency, but now that there is no longer an emergency, requiring masks if you are unvaccinated is an unwarranted invasion into a person’s medical history and, in our opinion, violates the language and intent of the Open Meetings Act.
There is no masking mandate, and the city of Le Roy cannot mandate one.
No one should have to reveal any medical information to attend a public meeting (yes, requiring a mask if unvaccinated is revealing medical information).

Posted at 14:22h, 19 MayGood grief! Where do these dictators come from! It was said long ago, “Power tends to corrupt, absolute power corrupts…. absolutely!” And it is so true! Why is it so hard to obey the law. …
