Dolton Trustees Seeking Sanctions Against Tiffany Henyard And Her Attorney –

Dolton, Ill. (ECWd) –

The Dolton Trustees who were served with a frivolous lawsuit by Dolton Mayor Tiffany Henyard and Dolton Trustees Stanley Brown and Andrew Holmes have filed a Motion for Rule 137 Sanctions against Plaintiff Henyard and her attorney for the following alleged violations of Supreme Court Rule 137:

• Henyard’s attorney, McStephen O. A. Solomon, filed an unverified Complaint
• Trustee Stanley Brown stated he was not consulted and did not consent nor authorize his name to be used as a Plaintiff in this case, and also indicated that Trustee Andrew Holmes did not consent either
• Attorney Solomon represented to the court that he was representing Trustees Brown and Holmes when neither trustee authorized him to include their names as Plaintiffs
• Attorney Solomon has filed three separate documents falsely representing that he was representing Trustee Stanley Brown in this suit

Trustee Stanley Brown emailed Defendant’s legal counsel indicating he did not consent to his name being listed as Plaintiff on Henyard’s lawsuit:

Dear Mr.McGrath,

I am writing to formally state that I do not wish to be, nor did I ever consent to being, a plaintiff in the lawsuit filed by Tiffany Henyard against the Dolton Trustees. It has come to my attention that my name may have been included in this matter without my express consent or approval. I want to make it unequivocally clear that I do not support this action and do not wish to be involved in any legal proceedings related to it.

Please take immediate steps to ensure that my name is removed from the lawsuit, and confirm in writing that I am no longer a party to this litigation. If any further documentation or clarification is needed from my end, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Defendants are seeking the court to strike the complaint and order Attorney McStephen O. A. Solomon and Plaintiff Tiffany Henyard to pay reasonable attorney fees for the costs of this Motion and for any other relief the Court deems appropriate.

Attorney McStephen O. A. Solomon recently came off having his license to practice law suspended on September 9, 2024, and is currently on license probation with an unknown ending date. His suspension was for the misappropriation of a client’s funds. Source: ARDC database.
