Tiffany Henyard Illegally Charged Over $16,400 To Township Taxpayers For Political Campaign Event –

South Holland, Ill. (ECWd) –

We were provided with the receipts produced to Frank Ghorbani under the Freedom of Information Act for all expenses for Thornton Township Supervisor Tiffany Henyard’s “Friends of Tiffany Henyard” political campaign event picnic, held on September 1, 2024.

We predicted in an earlier article (below) that the taxpayers of Thornton Township would be billed and/or pay for this campaign event, and we were apparently correct.

Here is what Henyard purchased under Thornton Township’s name for her campaign event:

  • Bouncy Houses: $2100
  • Generator: $600
  • DJ Experience: $1300  (can’t find business registration with SoS)
  • Walt’s Food Center: $8112
  • Special Event Rentals: $817
  • Sanitation: $2100 (est)
  • Payroll for township employees: $586
  • Golf Cart Rentals: $817
  • Total is over $16,400

These expenses clearly violate state law and Article VIII, Section 1, of the Illinois Constitution, and we urge residents to send this information to the Cook County State’s Attorney demanding she prosecute Tiffany Henyard and any Township employees assisting her for her use of public funds for this political campaign event.

Additionally, the township board should demand Henyard’s performance bond pay for these items.

On another note, pay attention to these photos of the campaign event, and notice that almost everything has her name on it – which means they will be of no use, and were a tremendous waste of public funds when a new supervisor is elected (we redacted the faces of the innocent children):

— Previous Article —

Last Sunday, the Thornton Township Supervisor used Village of Dolton property, and Thornton Township funds, equipment, personnel, and food bank to support her “Friends of Tiffany Henyard” campaign in her bid for reelection as township supervisor.

This is nothing more than the illegal use of public funds, property, or credit for campaign and electioneering purposes.

It cannot be tolerated at any level and needs to be prosecuted.

Leading up to and after the “Friends of Tiffany Henyard” campaign event:

  • Used Thornton Township’s webpage to advertise for this campaign event, claiming it was “presented” by the Thornton Township Board when it was never presented nor approved by the board
  • Used Thornton Township’s Facebook page to advertise for this campaign event
  • Used Thornton Township’s Facebook page to show photographs of the event (see the pics here)
  • Used Thornton Township’s vehicles, equipment, tents, employees, and food bank supplies for this campaign event (watch the video here)
  • Held the campaign event at the Village of Dolton’s “skate park” made without board approval and costing hundreds of thousands of dollars on the backs of village taxpayers
  • The verdict is still out on who paid for all of the bouncy houses and other entertainment for the children at this campaign event – but we suspect the township or village paid for it with credit cards, or will be asked to pay for it at a later date

We urge the township board to calculate the financial damages (vehicles, personnel hours, use of tents, food boxes, webpage, Facebook page, and everything else) and formally demand Henyard immediately reimburse the township for all of it, and then, acting as the township board, file a criminal complaint with the Cook County Sheriff and Cook County State’s Attorney demanding action.

One thing I learned about public corruption of the monetary persuasion is that in a lot of places and at the Federal level officials are allowed to do their stealing, skimming, or other criminal activities as long as they don’t try to KEEP ALL the money. Most of the time in the past prosecutions for money crimes happened because the defendant failed to give parts of the proceeds to the local Judge, prosecutor or the local bank of which the judge had part ownership.

It’s hard to fathom the ability of this con artist to last this long in office! WTF is wrong with the state of Illinois?! Why isn’t she in jail yet? I’ve been following this story for months, .

Only in Illinois is this woman still in leadership! Anywhere else and she would have been arrested already.
The Cook county state’s attorney should have official misconduct charges for failing to do the obvious.
