Thornton Twp Assessor Locked Out Of Office By Embattled Supervisor Tiffany Henyard –

By John Kraft & Kirk Allen

On June 6, 2023

Thornton Twp. (ECWd) –

After a long weekend of scathing news reports of some of the possibly illegal antics of Thornton Township Supervisor and Dolton Mayor Tiffany Henyard, she has apparently decided to remove all of the office supplies of the Thornton Township Assessor, place them in the common area of the township building, and change the locks on the Assessor’s office door.

Township property owners should be questioning where all of the assessors’ records are secured at the moment, and also asking who currently has access to those property records.

What a pathetic excuse for a “Supervisor” to engage in such apparent retaliation.

See our previous articles on Henyard (here) which include the illegal police vehicles, electioneering, use of public funds for her charity, false endorsements, and comingling of township and village funds; and last week’s articles from FOX32 (here), the Chicago Tribune (here and here) and the BGA’s Illinois Answers Project (here).

More news is coming on Henyard, and it isn’t good (for her).

I cant believe the ISP and Attorney general are not already up her back side on this. She is obviously breaking the law and no one seems to care except the residents and trustees….but they cannot change it either.

Apparently a person of color and a democrat is immune to any investigation by the states attorney or the Illinois attorney general.
