Ever Give Ammunition To A Buddy While Hunting Or Target Shooting? – Proposed Legislation May Make You A Felon

Illinois (ECWd) –

Once again a Legislator, Rita Mayfield, has taken steps to make law-abiding citizens criminals in newly proposed legislation regarding the transfer of ammunition. If this proposed legislation would pass as written and gets signed into law, chances are the state is going to have thousands if not hundreds of thousands of felony crimes committed on a regular basis every hunting season, at sport shooting events, and possibly even when simply plinking a few rounds with your family.

Picture this: You and your buddies are prepping for the upcoming deer season, goose season, or any other hunting or sport shooting venture in the state.  You arrive the day before the opening season or event and in all the excitement, your buddy forgot to pack his ammunition.  Fortunately, you have it covered because you brought plenty so you share (give) your ammunition to those in your group that need a few rounds.

And that fast, those doing this could face felony charges.

HB 1057 – “Provides that it is a Class 4 felony to sell or give firearm ammunition to any person if the transferrer of the firearm ammunition is not a certified licensee under the Firearm Dealer License Certification Act or if the transferrer of the firearm ammunition is not an employee of the certified licensee selling or transferring firearm ammunition in the course of his or her business as an employee of a certified licensee.”

This proposed legislation is clearly another overreach of people’s constitutional rights as it clearly infringes on people’s right to bear arms.

Just another ideologue that is Anti 2A, knows nothing about the real world, how it functions – even in the ethical and law-abiding sense…and doesn’t give a damn, anyway.

So the libtards are making an end run around the 2nd Amendment If the ban the sale of guns in the states they hope to bankrupt the gun manufactures. If they bankrupt them then who supplies law enforcement with their weapons. Wouldn’t that be sweet to have a monopoly on that market. Maybe JB is looking to get into the gun business.
But seriously, I don’t think it’s good for government to play these games with our commerce. The truth is government does not care about its people. It only cares about the money .Carry on

A state government that arrogantly refuses to follow or enact gun laws in compliance with the U.S. and Illinois constitutions is a subversive one. When they(democrats) are not restrained by law or not regulated by or based on law they are dictatorial communist gun grabbing tyrants. The democrats in the Illinois state legislature also prove that every time they stomp on parental rights to give themselves authority over the state’s children. Just like the communist Lenin Marxists did….. this proposed bill is nothing short of persecution of gun owners

Just need to word the law properly. You do not want the wrong people with the bullets. That is people without gun cards. Make it against the law to give or sell guns and bullets to people that are not allowed to own guns and bullets.

They can pass all the legislation they want, if they don’t stop the straw purchases they will not stop the felons from possessing guns.

I am in favor of getting the illegal guns out of the streets. Not keeping the legal gun owners from their Second Amendment rights.

OMG there is so much wrong here! “the wrong people” “people who are not allowed” “people without gun cards”. WHY WHY WHY do we persist in thinking that it is okay for government to decide who are the “right people”?? For ANYTHNG?? And WHY do we persist in thinking that a piece of paper makes things okay? Kind of like a driver’s license will stop someone from driving under the influence??
