Thornton Twp’s Fraudulent Police License Plates Confiscated by Sec. of State –

By John Kraft & Kirk Allen

On August 26, 2022

Thornton Twp., IL. (ECWd) –

Our previous article referenced a complaint I sent to the Director of the Secretary of State Police (read it here) alleging fraudulent Municipal Police license plates and police equipment on two Thorton Township vehicles when the township does not have a police department.

After reading the complaint, the Director sent police officers to Thornton Township and confiscated the Municipal Police license plates and canceled the registrations on both vehicles.

The township was also informed by the SOS they cannot operate either vehicle on the streets in Illinois without first removing the police lights and other police equipment.

The issues of Township Supervisor Tiffany Henyard’s unauthorized use of Municipal Police license plates, police equipment, etc., were referred to the Cook County State’s Attorney’s office for possible prosecution.

Both vehicles are now parked in Calumet City, behind the Thornton Township Senior Center.

More issues dealing with Thorton Township coming shortly.

Probably won’t happen but she should be charged with the IVC violations.

Did this go from ISP to SOS?

If so, I bet the phones were busy between ISP Director’s office – the Governor’s office – and the Secretary of State.
