McHenry County, IL. (ECWd) –
Held: The objection to the candidate’s qualifications for the office of Sheriff based on the candidate’s certification for completing a Minimum Standards Basic Law Enforcement Officers Training Course was properly denied.
The Second Appellate Court issued its Order today that Tony Colartorti was qualified to seek the office of Sheriff of McHenry County.
In reaching its decision, the court determined, for the purposes of qualification of Sheriff, both the part-time and full-time basic law enforcement training courses qualify.
