Rantoul, IL. (ECWd) –
Last night, Andy Graham, the School Board President of Rantoul School District #137, resigned from office after several residents had alleged a conflict of interest (holding incompatible offices) in his holding the office of school board president and township supervisor simultaneously.
Attorney General opinion(s) have previously weighed in on the specific conflict of township supervisor and school board member (of school districts which include K-8 grades), and deemed the two offices incompatible, or not permitted to be held by the same person simultaneously.
Read what WCIA had to say on the resignation (here).
