Posted at 10:51h, 05 March10K, what a darn joke. All those years of sucking money from the citizens and he gets a slap on the wrist. Freeze his bank accounts, take his passport, don’t let him liquidate anything and throw his butt in the meanest prison in IL. Also make sure all of his ill-gotten money and possessions is somehow returned to the people of IL. Make sure his family cannot benefit from his thievery .
It time to put the hammer on those in our state who think they have the right to live off the backs of the hard working citizens of IL.

The majority of the time, we took people to jail for Driving While License Suspended if they couldn’t post $100.00 cash bail. As time went on, it was finally allowed that in arrests that didn’t arise from DUI suspensions or other serious or reckless violations – we could release arrestees on an I Bond – which is essentially the same as a signature or Recog bond = no $ posted.
Now, comes the “King”, indicted on 22 felony counts for running a criminal enterprise – while he holds a position of public trust – and they’re considering releasing him on a freaking Recog bond…no cash bail? What a kick in the teeth to the citizens, to the system, and to those who work within the system to right wrongs.
He should, instead, be made an example. Although I seriously doubt he is a flight risk to his bail, he should be made to post a hefty sum commensurate with the seriousness of the offenses charged.
