School Districts Face Petition Alleging Contempt Of Court’s Order –

By John Kraft & Kirk Allen

On February 14, 2022

Springfield, IL. (ECWd) –

Attorney Tom DeVore filed a Petition in Sangamon County Circuit Court on a Rule to Show Cause why they should not be held in contempt of the Court’s order on masking, due process, etc., of school children while attending school.

From the Motion:

  • In complete disregard to this Court’s entry of the TRO, Mr. McDonald has advised Mr. Steven St. Louis, as the parent and legal guardian of J.S., S.S., that the students must wear a mask while in the buildings of the district at all other times unless they are actively engaged in learning
  • Since the entry of this Court’s order, up until today, the students of the Petitioners have attended school without interference from Respondents. Without explanation, the Petitioners were advised today by Ms. Reidy that their students must wear a mask or leave the premises of the district

It appears the school is playing games with the students and with the court’s order.

    It’s time to hold these individuals responsible. Somehow we have evolved into a society that allows unelected bureaucrats to make rules that are contrary to the bill of rights and the constitution. Someone needs to go to jail.

    What about student(s) actively, inter alia;

    A. Thinking;
    B. Reading books, e.g. “1984”;
    C. Having a colloquy with another student about the 1933 Nazi book burnings.

    Do they have to wear masks for these activities?
