WILL CO, IL. (ECWd) –
Just as we predicted when this case was first filed (here), today, a Will County Judge dismissed John Norton’s frivolous lawsuit against Wesley Township Trustee, Leonard McCubbin, with prejudice – meaning he cannot file it again.
During this Hearing, Norton tried, as he generally always does, to say he did receive copies of what he should have received, but then admitted he had the Order from his previous case where another Judge dismissed the same thing with prejudice.
The Judge noted this Complaint was virtually the same as the previously dismissed lawsuit, as was the Prayer for Relief, with the exception of instead of asking for one million dollars, he only asked for $45,000 to bring it under the maximum for this type of case.
It was dismissed today after several minutes of rambling on, with Norton asking if he could file a Motion to Reconsider and a Motion to file an Amended Complaint.
We suspect he will be sanctioned if he follows through with additional motions.
