Illinois Conservative Union Annual Conference – Registration Open

By Kirk Allen & John Kraft

On October 12, 2021

Illinois  (ECWd) –

“Illinois Conservative Union is pleased to host United We Stand 2021, the 5th Annual Illinois Conservative Grassroots Activist Conference. This is an Illinois-specific, action-oriented event. Those who have attended this conference in the past know is not just “more talk”! Every attendee will find new tools for their “activist toolbox”, and learn how to use them to the greatest effect.”

Having attended this event a few years ago as part of a panel discussion on local government transparency issues, I can say the event is one that truly provides key information to assist people in holding their local government accountable, regardless of anyone’s political leanings.

We have also attended and spoken at Libertarian annual conferences, Municipal League conferences, FOIA Festivals, and an Illinois League of Women Voters annual conference. Our message has remained steadfast: Hold your local governments accountable.

The details of this event and registration can be found at this link.

Although I can’t give you a venue, you should attend liberal events also. Republicans don’t have a lock on transparency. All government must have it if we are to remain a democracy. All must be held accountable. Ethics problems abound in this state no matter who is running it, or at any level.

The main problem in Illinois is money, or rather lack of it. Until such time as the pension crisis is solved, all the other problems are going to remain. How much money do the bond-holders make? That money should be going to education, and infrastructure, not lining some fat cat’s pockets.. The Legislatures’ feet need to be held to the fire to do the right thing, not the easy thing.

I don’t always agree with you guys, but I stand (if I could) with you. Besides, it’s fun!

We do attend any events when invited – our message is the same no matter where it is delivered.
If you can gather a few people, we can get the venue.

    Thanks for sharing.
These are always great events with a chance to meet some wonderful people… and to realize that you are not alone.. It is up to ALL of us, together, to hold our local governments accountable.

The Republican Party spends more time speaking @ events and canvassing for donations instead of shutting down the Dems. What did they do with the debt ceiling vote?! Kicked it down the lane! What morons. Get a backbone and fight’!!!! I picked up Covid at the last Republican Event I went to and Charlie Kirk was wonderful. But my girlfriend and I got very sick! If you’re going to reply text me @ 847-494-4478, please. Thank you!!
