Edgar County Coroner Approved For New Building At Highway Department –

Edgar County, IL. (ECWd) –

The Edgar County Board has approved constructing a new building to house the Edgar County Coroner’s Office.

The total cost will be around $60,000, with the county and its employees assisting in and coordinating its construction as a cost savings measure.

It will be a single-level building which will house a garage for the Coroner’s van, document storage area, refrigerated space, and an office area.

It will be located on the east side of the current Edgar County Highway Department building and should to be completed early next year.

The Coroner’s current office was located at the hospital, and had been under a lease, which was recently terminated by the hospital.
