Springfield, IL. (ECWd) –
According to the April 16, 22, and 27, 2021, emergency meeting minutes of the Illinois Attorney General’s Procurement Policy and Compliance Board, the AG’s office purchased the following:
- April 16th: MOXFIVE for $462,250.00
- April 22nd: CrowdStrike for $111,000
- April 27th: Rust Consulting for $356,000
This is presumably in response to the hacking of their website, servers, and email, which are still not fully restored.
We still have no indication of a ransom demand, as the AG’s Office has declined to provide those records under the Freedom of Information Act.

Posted at 19:29h, 14 JulyAt https://illinoisattorneygeneral.gov, there doesn’t seem to be any updates to April’s public notice. Ironically, the on line consumer protection complaint portal is still out too. I wonder if the Attorney General’s office would require more from a non-state agency than they do of themselves.
