Adam Lopez, Former Springfield School Board Chairman Pleads Guilty To Felony Theft –

SPRINGFIELD, IL. (ECWd) –

Adam Lopez, Former Springfield School Board President and former insurance/financial and fitness businessman, has plead Guilty to felony theft, a Class X Felony, which was the most serious of the charges against him – all other charges were dismissed,

Lopez has been incarcerated in the Sangamon County Jail since his arrest in November 2018, according to News Channel 20.

His sentencing is scheduled for June 29, 2021, where he faces a 6-30 year sentence as part of a plea agreement.

He was original indicted and charged with felony theft, theft, and three counts of financial exploitation of the elderly.

Prior to his indictment and arrest, a member of the public sent us several tips and we wrote about his questionable advertising and contracts with the school district while he was a school board member.
