DuPage Township, IL. (ECWd) –
From Trustee Benford:
Please cancel tonight’s township board meeting requested by myself and Trustee Raga.
We are cancelling the meeting because it was improperly posted with the word ”special” listed in the meeting notice. Trustee Raga and I requested a meeting under the township code listed below.
60 ILCS 1/80-10)
Sec. 80-10. Board meetings; township and road district accounts.
(b) Upon the request of the supervisor or of any 2 board members, the township clerk shall call a meeting at the time requested and shall furnish to the board members at least 48 hours’ notice of the meeting.
The meeting notice as posted appears to list a special township meeting, which falls under a 14 day meeting notice requirement.

Posted at 13:41h, 29 MarchSo, according to 60 ILCS 1/80-10, “Board Meeting, Township Accounts” would be proper?
This would, of course, not be the same as “Regular” Board Meeting.
