GOVERNOR PRITZKER ACTIVATES APPROXIMATELY 500 NATIONAL GUARD TROOPS FOR U.S. CAPITAL SECURITY AT DOD REQUEST

On January 30, 2021

Springfield, IL. (ECWd) –

SPRINGFIELD, Illinois – At the request of the U.S. Department of Defense, Illinois Governor JB Pritzker has activated approximately 500 Illinois National Guard members in support of the continued security mission in Washington, D.C. The mission in Washington, D.C. will not impact the Illinois National Guard’s ability to perform the vaccination distribution mission, with 325 members of the guard already activated to carry out that mission and hundreds more to come online in the coming weeks.

“The U.S. Department of Defense has asked Illinois to assist federal and local agencies in this continued effort, and Major General Neely and I are ready to ensure that the state of Illinois continues its proud legacy of protecting our democracy,” said Governor JB Pritzker. “Ultimately, we must root out the dark forces of racism, white supremacy and disinformation that have created this moment, but until we do that, our extraordinary troops will deploy with honor.”

The Illinois Army National Guard soldiers, along with a small contingent of Illinois Air National Guard airmen, are expected to remain on duty in the nation’s capital until mid-March. While Illinois National Guard members who deployed for the Presidential Inauguration have since returned to Illinois, approximately 50 members of that mission have volunteered to return for this mission. The Illinois Army National Guard’s Chicago-based 108th Sustainment Brigade and its subordinate battalion, the North Riverside-based 198th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, will provide the bulk of the Illinois National Guard force for the Washington, D.C. mission.

“We are deploying these forces in support of civilian law enforcement based on threat-levels against the U.S. Capitol. These threats were assessed by the FBI and other federal agencies,” said Maj. Gen. Rich Neely, the Adjutant General of Illinois and Commander of the Illinois National Guard. “Our soldiers and airmen are committed to the defense of both our nation and our state. We have asked a lot of them in the last year and each time these men and women have answered the call and upheld their oath to defend and support the U.S. Constitution. I could not be more proud of these Soldiers and Airmen.”

The Illinois National Guard forces will join a force of approximately 7,000 National Guard members from throughout the United States in assisting federal and local agencies with safety and security throughout Washington, D.C. In February that force will draw down to 5,000, which will include the Illinois National Guard service members who will stay on until mid-March.

The Illinois National Guard members were activated under the provisions of U.S. Title 32, which leaves them under the authority of the Governor with all costs paid by the federal government. The Illinois National Guard members supporting the COVID-19 vaccine distribution mission in Illinois were also activated under the same provision of U.S. law.

The Illinois National Guard troops will be in Washington, D.C. by the beginning of next week.

Anon, you need to better inform yourself pertaining to the Election Fraud that occurred in 2016. Trump lawyers presented mountains of evidence to State and Federal judges that summarily refused to hear the cases. These Judges were not finders of fact they were lazy, judicial obstructionists of evidence. Sorry to say, but our Judicial system no longer does the hard work entrusted to them.

Remember if trump would have conceded like a he should have we wouldn’t had any of this right wing crap that has cost lives and millions of dollars

Remember the population rankings among states, especially Pennsylvania. A commenter in a previous ECWd article disseminated a judge’s incorrect ranking regarding Pennsylvania is what appeared to be an erroneous argumentative style…not too bright in either place.

Homer needs to go back to playing the banjo with his brother Jethro. How many people have their car stolen and then concede the title to the thief?

        Cindy,

Is it so hard to believe that the candidate from the larger party got more votes? Is it possible that Trump’s failure to address the COVID-19 cost him some independent votes?

Most people that have a stolen car have a title, bill of sale, proof of insurance, registration or a single piece of evidence that they owned the car. 3 months later, Trump and his lawyers have provided no actual evidence of voter fraud. So how can you say it was stolen?

A little research would do well before claiming there was no fraud. Virginia Courts just ruled last week that there was.

Is it difficult to research, read, and discern that the whole claim from the new American commies and their media that there was no election fraud resulted from ALL 80+ election fraud lawsuits not permitting the evidence to be examined?

Even today, there are still ongoing lawsuits about election fraud. How hard is it to understand that the majority of those judges presiding over the election suits either were installed by Clinton or Obama, or some just didn’t want to take the responsibility of adjudication? Instead, they routinely dismissed those suits on only PROCEDURAL grounds. Yes, procedural, which could be anything from timing, fonts on documents (yes, this existed), to standing, to just simply because they said so. Just like Roberts on the SCOTUS, those cowards and leftists simply avoided responsibility and kept kicking the bucket down the line. NO FRAUD EVIDENCE WAS EVER ALLOWED TO BE EXAMINED!

And then your leftist media went hard on anyone even remotely mentioning fraud. For those who have never lived under communism, the way this country and the leftist media are going about silencing dissenting opinions is exactly how a communist regime would do it. I’ve lived through that hell once, so it’s just deja vu for me.

Just because leftists and anti-Americans like yourself only imbibed from a single source of information, which is essentially propaganda, doesn’t make it acceptable for discussion, and you should be laughed at and pitied.

It’s a good thing, and clearly evident, that Independent media are a great source for the majority of the public, that your single source of propaganda, although loud and obnoxious, have a very limited audience. Just go and verify to see the audience statistics for the various independent news sources compared to your media. CNN’s rating is still abysmal and unchanged, and only topped the recently crash of Fox.

Another thing, if the Fool and the Joker were popular or legitimately elected, why weren’t there any public support before the election or during the Installation day? This was true in public and online.

Maybe it’s asking too much for commie propaganda regurgitators to think for themselves, but there’s a chance for redemption of even just 1 brain to start weaning off the socialist drug.

Yo ANON…you may wish to review your comments prior to clicking the submit comment. For example here in this thread you write:

“Most people that have a stolen car have a title, bill of sale, proof of insurance, registration or a single piece of evidence that they owned the car.”

This sentence reads that most people steal cars, and that the title, bill of sale, proof of insurance, etc. are with the car when its stolen.

Something like “Most people who have their car stolen….” might reflect your intended communication. I dunno though, because in another comment thread “ANON” cited an erroneous statistic about rioting then complained about other commenters ability to sift through the noise to find anything disputable or worth debate.

This can be the last comment I make on ANON’s otherwise painful pleas for engagement.

I’m sorry about the wisecrack. From what I see of your posts (loosely described as writing) I have a new opinion. I am absolutely positive you are not smart enough to play a banjo.

Governor Pritzker’s biggest achievement is sending 500 guardsmen to DC?
I was unaware that the Chinese are invading DC. Or, is it more likely our civil rights are being threatened?

Just in the past few months I’ve noticed that Jannie is an idiot. Every single thing they say is Communist type rhetoric. If you are in Illinois, please leave so that we can have our state back from the tyranny of those that hate Freedom and Individual liberty..

The comments are just plain scary. I’m not sure if the one comment was ok with terrorist going into the Capital doing I last heard 800 Million in damages & the loss of life, or perhaps they don’t believe it happened? Then there’s the comment who is complaining that IL rec’d from FEMA 43 million to provide mobile vaccinations and easier access for people. Hey we’re a large (population & area – some of it rural & very small towns). Actually in our area the vaccination process has been very good. I’ve read stories (no, it’s not fake news – I’ found more than 2 sources) of what a mess it is (vaccination process) in Florida. Long lines, hours of phone waits.

Here’s a comment elicit to an ECWd article on a local government contracting with a company that subverts the FOIA.

From commenter “Jannie:” “What I find interesting is this contract is almost a year old. It certainly has nothing to do with the Nov 2020 election. If this was an issue for someone: a. Why wasn’t this contract of January 2020 brought up before: b. Do all companies ask that contracts like this be signed or is it just this company?”

The contract most certainly pertained to “the Nov 2020 election.” With that matter of fact established with a simple examination of the contract attached to the article, I’m upvoting Mr. Murphy’s comment here!

Little update to your “I’ve read stories”:

When Legacy and Big Cable media carries a story, it’s usually 1 story. After whoever breaks it, the others take it and try to glean their own info on it, or re-write it or get their local contacts in on it. End of the day, it’s still one story with a few different bits of information.

To get more than 1 story, you need to goto alternate media sources. ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, CNN, a few others and sometimes even FOX. Most of the time those run 1 story. Goto Newsmax, Oann, Breitbart, Vox, the Atlantic (assuming these latter 2 aren’t running with the Legacy narrative, cus they tend to), and there are more. And as it pertains to IL, Edgar County Watchdogs or IL Policy Institute. That’s how you really get verification. Cus you can end up having 2 very different stories, but you wouldn’t know that if you only watched (for instance) CNN and CBS. In that case, you didn’t get 2 stories, you only got the same story from 2 sources.

In my search, Florida is doing a bang-up job. Areas with more dense population have the same problems as most other cities. However they’re not letting vaccine goto waste. Afterall, after you pull it of the freezer, gotta use it or lose it. And so while it can be spun as chaotic, they’re going to be at herd immunity levels long before IL.

This is an absolute joke. The left pushing their narrative … “like the capital is in trouble of being overrun”. They have no problem spending whatever it takes to play it out. And of course Pritzker plays right along … the very same day as they announced the deployment of Illinois National Guards, our governor was awarded $43,000,000 to assist in passing out the vaccine. Considering how much of the vaccine we have received so far, that is very generous.

The bailout of blue states has obviously begun.. In this case, we really need the money, so as far into the Feds pocket we can get is a good thing. I don’t want to pay for any of it through my taxes.
