Background checks are necessary but the short video seems to discriminate over a known disparity. State agencies such as IDOT ought to example much better.

Oh my god how did I miss it, There is no bi racial transexual single mother handicapped in a wheel chair with a “Black Lives Matter” vest on!

IDOT needs to atone, and fast!

Here’s a flare for your drama and gainful employment that “pays this well,” dude.

          I’m out of here.

These are important jobs – I don’t see any problem with having a criminal background check.

All that goes without you saying, writing, or typing, ma’am.

But if you pause to think “context,” maybe…just maybe…you’ll realize a subtle form of discrimination (known disparity) is screening out prospective applicants.

In detail of the short video:

    > Applicants must have a commercial driver’s license and pass:

    > a criminal background check,
    > a pre-employment physical,
    > a vision test and
    > a drug and alcohol screening.

Anyone else having trouble with the must have and pass “a criminal background check”? Screening applicants with known disparity in EEOC classifications of prospective applicants seems unjust for those who are otherwise fit for duty.

The point of having banned the box aimed at doing away with this sort of thing.
