Local 395 Union President Jeffrey Veach was sentenced today to 42 months in federal prison. He was convicted of violating the crime of Hobbs Act Extortion Conspiracy in planning organizing and carrying out a beatdown of D5 Iron Works from Marengo Illinois, while working on a construction project for Dyer Baptist Church in Dyer, Indiana. The BOP will determine which prison they are going to take Veach off to. His attorney, Kevin Milner, asked that the BOP send him to Oxford.
From the Court Docket:
- Dft sentenced to 42 months imprisonment; 3 years supervised release; and to pay $100.00 special assessment; and to pay restitution in the amount of $30,859.00 joint and several with co-dft.
