Chicago, IL. (ECWd) –
We were honored to present a one-hour session on “Who Let The (Watch)Dogs Out” at the 2019 Illinois Municipal League Conference last month.
Kirk Allen and John kraft of the Edgar County Watchdogs, and Keri-Lyn Krafthefer, Equity Partner with Ancel Glink P.C. presented.
We fielded lots of questions, provided answers and our opinions on traits of good government when dealing with open records and open meetings, and things not to do when people start asking questions.
We also talked about how we got started, how we receive tips, and what to expect when we look into whatever tip we may have received.
Doug Wolfe, from WAND-TV attended and posted the following on Twitter:
“City leaders from around the state in Chicago Saturday where the Edgar County Watchdogs @ECWDogs address the Illinois Municipal League about government transparency, public records & FOIA. @wandtvnews“
