BLOOMINGTON, IL. (ECWd) –
Earlier this month, Bloomington, IL. Mayor Tari Renner went on a local radio show to dispute a report that one of the city’s police officers resigned, and that something was going on with that officer’s duty performance as the reason for his resignation.
Renner stated in his interview that bloggers lie, and the resignation was simply routine with nothing to worry about (article here with link to the radio interview) – after listening to his interview, it is apparent that at least one Mayor does what he claims bloggers do.
After receiving records under FOIA, we now know Mayor Renner was not being truthful during his interview.
