McHenry Co. (ECWd) –
The Illinois Appellate Court Second District has set a date for oral argument in the Local 150 vs Algonquin Road District case.
“On the court’s own motion, oral argument is hereby scheduled for 09/05/2019. A notice of the exact time, along with an acknowledgment, will be sent at a later date.” (Order at his link)
We had been waiting for local publication of another recent ruling by the Appellate Court but to date, it has been crickets.
In what may be the fastest turn-around we have ever seen from an Appellate Court, they issued a denial letter to Local 150 in one day.
On July 9, 2019, the court granted the Road District additional time to respond to yet another sanctions motion by Local 150. That same day, Local 150 filed a motion with the Appellate Court for reconsideration and sanctions against Road District Attorney Rob Hanlon. On July 10, 2019, the court denied their motion.
It is not very often you see the Appellate Court respond to a motion in one day and do so prior to any response from the opposing side.
We will continue to update the events of this case.
