Watchdogs sue Naperville Township for public records –

Naperville Township (ECWd) –

In January we requested public records from the Naperville Township Road District and Naperville Township, mainly consisting of credit card statements, emails, and attorney legal invoices.

Some things were redacted on the credit card statements, and the legal bills were almost entirely redacted.

We believe this violated the Illinois Freedom of Information Act, we asked them to reconsider, and they denied it again.

So here we are…forced to file a FOIA lawsuit to gain access to public records that should have already been provided.
