Marshall School District #2 suspends teacher without pay during Special Meeting –

MARSHALL, IL. (ECWd) –

Marshall Community Schools #2 held a special meeting on April 30, 2018.

The Board opened the meeting, asked for public comment (there was none) and entered into closed session to discuss: “Consideration of the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of a specific employee of the School District” – (one of which we believe concerned a complaint about an issue arising out of a softball practice).

After closed session, the board met in public again to accept the resignation of Meghan Arthur as the High School Softball Coach and suspended school teacher Meghan Arthur for 5 1/2 school days, without pay, due to the conduct and behavior of Mrs. Arthur.
