Algonquin Township and Road District facing FOIA Lawsuit – UPDATED

By Kirk Allen & John Kraft

On April 4, 2018

McHenry Co. (ECWd) –

ECWd filed our Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit this week against the Algonquin Township and Road District.  After months of non-compliance from our FOIA requests it became crystal clear the Township Clerk and keeper of the records, Karen Lukasik, has no intention of compliance with the law.

The suit outlines 16 separate violations that date back to November of last year. Lukasik has been unable to comply with even the most basic of request to include ignoring requests and citing unduly burdensome.

Once we receive our file-stamped copy we will update the article to include it as a downloadable link.

Maybe the taxpayers will have to sue the perpetrators as individuals, Danni. I am sure their are laws that hold them personally responsible for taking oaths and then reneging. The people have no knowledge of our archaic law system. Maybe some altruistic attorney can pick up this cause.

taxpayers on the hook again for gub people crimes-just like many we know about, e.g., sexual harassment (and what happened with that one-oh, yeah, coverup, of course), and the many we don’t know about. Why, oh why can’t these slimes be held personally responsible for their own attorney fees!
