ATWOOD, IL. (ECWd) –

We visited Atwood, Illinois during their January 16, 2018 public meeting and spoke about elected officials and their right of access to records of the public body.

Atwood, Illinois is a small village of a little over 1200 residents, and is located both in Douglas and Piatt Counties. Main street is the county line.

The unprofessional attitude and comments from those two women…. These people are elected and can not read the ordinance manual?? And as the man from ECWD pointed out, they aLL received training, yet remain ignorant; or even as the other comment stated….they are too arrogant, lazy, or both to look it up. The man in grey apparantly is the only person who takes his responsibility seriuosly.
I read about this in The Tuscola Journal, and am honestly not surprised by what this video reveals.

How hard is it for these officials to just say “Ok, I’ll take a look into it” and ask someone for advice instead of looking like fools?
