DeKalb Co., – Northern Illinois University (ECWd) –
Today’s hearing was held on a Motion for a Temporary Restraining Order against Northern Illinois University, to prohibit them from effectuating any of the Golden Parachute agreements with the former University President, Robert Baker.
DeKalb County Circuit Court Judge Waller granted the TRO, explaining that today’s decision on the TRO was not a determination on the Open Meetings Act complaint, but simply the granting of the TRO to keep the status quo until a hearing on the OMA complaint can be heard.
TRO was granted and will expire on September 8, 2017.
Next Hearing scheduled for Sep. 8, with all additional paperwork submitted by August 28th.
This Motion is part of the Open Meetings Act Lawsuit which alleged the University did not comply with the OMA when it awarded Baker’s golden parachute exit agreement.
