ATLANTA, IL. (ECWd) –
During the August 10, 2017 public meeting, the Atlanta Public Library District Board of Trustees voted on paying bills without providing enough information to the public on what they were about to vote on.
What we were trying to figure out, was how much public money they gave to Trustee William Thomas or one of his companies last month. They refused to let the public know.
I submitted a Request for Review of an alleged Open Meetings Act violation, and the Attorney General has decided to inquire into its validity (pdf below).
