PARIS, IL. (ECWd) –
We broadcast a live video feed of this meeting (below) on our ECWd Facebook page –
The Edgar County Board Finance Committee held a meeting this afternoon at 4 p.m. in the Edgar County Clerk’s Office to open the sealed bid submitted for possible purchase of the Kreckman Building from the Edgar County Board.
The building and property were donated to the county several years ago, and the building has recently been storing excess office equipment, paper records, and also used to conduct small committee meetings.
The county doesn’t necessarily need the building and decided to offer it up for sale.
There were two bidders, with the Paris Hospital and Medical Foundation submitting the highest bid of $65,000.
The county board chairman believes the board will vote on the sale at its next regular board meeting in June.
