Shelby Co. (ECWd) –
As described in the video, we could not put up a video of a Shelbyville Township meeting without first exposing the misrepresentations that took place at the meeting. Had we just thrown the video up for all to see without explanation, people would be mislead by the misrepresentations and/or lies told during the February Meeting.
One issue, in particular, is the claim made by the Township Attorney regarding my attendance. As you can see in this e-mail correspondence, at no time did I ever inform her I was not going to the meeting as she claimed.
Of special interest is the portion of the meeting where they claimed to have approved certain donations
.
Below is the full video of the February Meeting which could not be released without ensuring the public was made aware of the false claims made during that meeting.

Posted at 10:48h, 25 MarchYou cannot donate taxpayer dollars, however collected, to anyone. I think this activity is worthy of a look by law enforcement at the state level. If this township has so much money on that they
believe donations are necessary to spend
taxpayer dollars, maybe the township assessment needs to be reduced.

Posted at 10:25h, 25 MarchWhat she read at the meeting IS NOT what the statute says. She added words that are not in the statute.
The Township can provide funding for certain services being provided to the residents of the townships and the law outlines what must be done.
These folks were not following any of the laws in our opinion, and the opinion of two other lawyers.

Posted at 15:18h, 24 MarchAre you really spending your time posting a video from a February 6 meeting about an argument regarding whether not you were going to attend? Is this really newsworthy?

Posted at 20:58h, 24 MarchKris I would suggest watching the video again as it was about more than just a meeting argument. What is newsworthy is the exposure that a board who has given $93K away has done so without ever having even seen the law according to the attorney.

they hiding. This Township is a taxpayer
burden from what I understand.
