South Jacksonville, IL. (ECWd) –
After South Jacksonville Police Chief Hallock was reinstated with full back-pay, his attorney, Tyson Manker, filed a request for an Official Misconduct Inquiry into the Village of South Jacksonville Trustees, Village Officials, and/or employees for the alleged improper release of information to local news media.
In the request, Manker suggests that some person or persons at the village improperly and secretly released document subject to Attorney-Client privilege, work product, and other highly sensitive information about Chief Hallock impugning beyond repair Chief Hallock’s personal and professional reputation.
The request further states that “Now that the investigation into ethical – as opposed to criminal – violations of the Village Personnel Manual is complete, and Chief Hallock has been reinstated with full back pay, I request that you now scrutinize what appear to be far more serious violations of the Illinois Criminal Code by a Village official and/or Employee, which your oath obligates you to.”
