Illinois Legislators calling for Auditor General Frank Mautino to step aside during Federal Investigation

Illinois -(ECWd) –

A group of Illinois State Legislators held a press conference at the Thomson Center today calling for Auditor General Frank Mautino to step aside during the Federal Investigation into his campaign spending irregularities that included loan payments for non-existent loans and car repairs of over $200,000.00 in ten years.

We believe he should resign as he has not been a man of his word.  He assured the legislators who inquired about his campaign spending in February of this year that he would respond.  Instead, he lawyered up and has been silent.  The fact he can’t keep his word is more than enough to demand his resignation.
