NEW LENOX, IL. (ECWd) –
After we exposed Lincoln-Way High School District 210 and its highly questionable spending and contracting habits, other media became interested in the story.
So did Federal Prosecutors, who issued at least one Grand Jury Subpoena, with which the district is cooperating.

Lincoln-Way High School District under investigation; Subpoena issued
NEW LENOX, Ill. — A suburban high school district is under federal investigation for how it handled its finances and much of it deals with the district’s controversial former superintendent.
The investigation into Lincoln-Way High School District 210 is looking at the former schools superintendent’s compensation as well as funds concerning student activities and bond
According to the Daily Southtown, the U.S. Attorney is seeking an array of financial records concerning former superintendent Lawrence Wylie who was the boss from 1989 to 2013.
A grand jury subpoena dated May 4th is zeroing in on his compensation records including an annuity that bumped his compensation upon retirement which has paid him more than 350,000 dollars on top of the largest teachers’ pension in the state at 312,000 per year.

They better hope everything is in order and all the proper numbers were used to issue these bonds.
Cooking the books and then using the same numbers to sell bonds can buy a trip to club fed.
