Commonfields of Cahokia Water District – Most Disrespectful Public Body We’ve Seen –

By John Kraft & Kirk Allen

On May 1, 2016

Cahokia, IL. (ECWd) –

Generally speaking , we had run out of things that surprise us. . .  until we watched this video.

This one shows so little disregard for the public, the board members should be carted off to jail just for thinking about it, let alone following thru –

Several citizens attended the April 2016 Commonfields of Cahokia Public Water District meeting and were met with chairs in the hallway and the single door of the meeting room propped open.

The board members in the meeting room, the public in the hallway, where they could not hear or see the board members.

How could anyone with any sense of duty to the public think this is a good idea?

It is time to put the “public” back into this Public Water District.

Of course, like the Village of Cahokia, there is no website – because that would allow the public to obtain information about them.

Watch this shameful display of a “public” meeting:

This is an example why people need to get the State legislature to pass some laws with real teeth in them for those conducting the meeting (the chairpersons, etc.) who comment such actions. Furthermore, the investigations of such incidents should NOT be conducted by local officials who have the authority to cover up such incidents of total disrespect of the public. What do you gain by allowing this?
