DuPage Co. (ECWd) –
The three finalists for the position of College of DuPage President have been selected by the Committee in charge of narrowing the selection down from 300 applicants to just three.
As we understand it, they will be interviewed by the Full Board of Trustees and a selection will be made by vote of the full board.
Dr. Ann Rondeau, a retired Vice Admiral with a distinguished career serving in the United States Navy. “Dr. Rondeau holds a Doctorate in Education from Northern Illinois University, a Master’s degree in Comparative Government from Georgetown University, a Bachelor’s degree in History and Social Science from Eisenhower College, and has attended distinguished senior executive training and education courses. She was awarded an honorary doctorate in Public Service from Carthage College. Ann has received numerous awards for leadership and public service, including the New York City USO 2008 Woman of the Year award, and The Women’s Center’s Leadership Award in 2013.” More info on her can be found at this link.
David Sam, JD, PhD, LLM, current President of Elgin Community College. “A native of Ghana, West Africa, Dr. Sam has impressive academic credentials. He is a cum laude graduate of Illinois State University with bachelor of arts degrees in economics, political science and history. He holds an M.A. in law and diplomacy and a Ph.D. in international economic and political relations from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. Additionally, he holds an M.B.A. in finance and marketing from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a J.D. degree from the University of Akron Law School, and an L.L.M., Energy Law and Policy, Center for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy at University of Dundee, United Kingdom.” Link to his current position
Barbara R. Kavalier, Ph.D. Current President of Navarro College in Texas – “Barbara is a Distinguished Graduate of The University of Texas at Austin where received a Ph.D. in Educational Administration. Her Master of Arts degree is in Business with a specialization in Human Relations and she graduated cum laude from Texas Christian University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education, majoring in English. Most importantly, she holds an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree from Mountain View College.” Link to her most recent position
