Will Co. (ECWd) –
Lincoln-Way District 210 accepted an agreement for Ron Sawin, former Assistant Superintendent, to retire early and they do not have to buy him out for the remaining two years on his contract.
In a saddening twist to what appears to be a savings to the taxpayer of, two years’ salary and benefits, they stripped the public of their ability to claw back the financial misgivings by Sawin who managed the financial matters at D210 by agreeing to the terms of the agreement below.
In addition, they agreed to not file charges against Sawin.
“The Board agrees not to file charges for or to seek the termination of Sawin or to institute any disciplinary measures against Sawin based upon any acts which occurred prior to the execution of this Agreement and of which the Board is currently aware.”
For the record, only the State’s Attorney can “file” criminal charges. The board’s agreement does not negate that from happening in any fashion.
Ron Sawin, Good Riddance!
