College of DuPage – Chairman Hamilton Resigns –

By Kirk Allen & John Kraft

On December 13, 2015

DuPage Co. (ECWd)
Effective immediately, the College of DuPage Board of Trustees Chairman, Kathy Hamilton, has resigned citing personal reasons.
The list of actions taken since becoming Chairman of the board is one that anyone pushing for government reform would be proud of. (Click here for the Board Accomplishments since April 30, 2015)
COD now has 60 days to fill the vacancy, and if they fail to agree on a replacement, the Chairman of the Illinois Community College Board will name the replacement. The person filling the vacancy will remain in office until the 2017 election cycle.

Look at the Youtube videos of Jeanne Ives and Frank Napolitano questioning her about her back channel manipulations of the presidential search firm hiring process. Once you see them you’ll understand why she lost the trust of her followers and was removed as chair of the search committee.

There is more to that situation (committee) than the video shows and we will write about it shortly

Its nice that you think she was a “good person” .. I guess this is coming from an outsider perspective (?) But do you really think a person that has done all this “good” would quit this abruptly without any notice what so ever?.. I don’t think so

I don’t understand. Was Kathy Hamilton a good person who did good things or was she bad and one of the corrupt ones? I have trouble understanding all the College of DuPage stuff you write about. Maybe you could do a simple, easy to follow summary of the College of DuPage issues with a breakdown of who the good guys were who were the villains?

Kathy was/is a good person. She was the lone voice on the board for two years calling for more information, accountability, and looking out for taxpayers. Three reform candidates were elected and Kathy became board chair. They have put COD on a good path. I take Kathy at her word, that it is for personal reasons. And pray all will go well for both her and the college.
