Clark Co., IL. (ECWd) –
Our previous article noted that an Ethics Complaint was filed with the Clark County Ethics Commission, and I included the final draft of that complaint while waiting on the original filed complaint with exhibits.
Below are those documents as they were filed. I redacted some information for the sake of privacy of petition signers and complaint signers.
You can clearly see the difference between the packets I picked up from the park district after the last date to file petitions – what I picked up had “full term” circled – you can also see it was changed, after its filing, to “2 year vacancy” while the full term was scratched out. These are snippits from Exhibits 1 and 2 (below). These changes were made on pages 4 thru 8.
In the 3rd Exhibit, you can see on page 2 where “Joe Ewing” was lined thru where it was originally placed in the 4 year term of office section on the Certification of Ballot.

Posted at 17:31h, 07 NovemberIt’s too bad that the people of Clark Co. weren’t able to “VOTE” on who they felt should be on the Ethic’s Committee.

Posted at 18:48h, 09 NovemberSue. It would be great if Joe Ewing would actually form an Ethics Commission for the Park District! It’s been 6 weeks since I filed the complaint! He’s named in the complaint and he’s stalling the inevitable.

Posted at 01:27h, 17 NovemberI don’t know Mr. Ewing personally Lisa, however, I do feel even if an Ethics Commission was formed, that the people of his choice would be the ones appointed. That’s just the way the ball bounces around here. I know of one past courthouse employee (not Ms. Ramsey nor the man named Joe) but out of that same office, which lied on the stand after being subpoenaed & under oath! It is amazing how people in powerful positions can be so dishonest in this community & get by with it! Lets just say he’s on the York Township Board now. LOL! I am a person of honesty and it truly sickens me to see corrupt/dishonest people running our townships and in other political positions. As they will all back their friends and not do what is right for the PEOPLE OF THIS COMMUNITY. Best of Luck to you!
