Clark Co. Park District served with Citizen Ethics Complaint -

Clark Co., IL. (ECWd) -
The Clark County Park District was served last week with an Ethics Complaint, pursuant to [5 ILCS 430/] the State Officials and Employees Ethics Act, naming the following individuals as defendants:

Defendants:

Charity Murphy, Executive Director of the Park District
Joe Ewing, Commissioner
Larry Yargus, Former Commissioner
Ron Stone, Commissioner
Terry Stepp, Commissioner
This Complaint involves allegations of prohibited political activity, election fraud, election petition tampering, electioneering, intimidation, gifts, theft, Open Meetings violations, and the like.

Allegations include violations of the below statutes:

Process for Hearings:

The process for hearing this complaint, according to statute and the Park District's Policy Manual, involves the convening of an Ethics Commission, appointing the chairman of the commission, appointing an attorney for the commission, and developing a hearing schedule

The Ethics Commission shall be formed and hold it organizational meeting after receiving a Signed, Notarized Complaint. There is a mandated time-frame for the hearing and as soon as I can find it I will update this article.
